A FIELD DAY WAS HELD IN ADIYAMAN PROVINCE FOR OUR LORD BARLEY VARIETY
For our 6-row LORD barley variety registered in the name of our company, a field day was held on 05.06.2015 in the field located in Lokman village of Adıyaman province, belonging to Nevres PARLAK, partner of Adıyaman Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri No. 2524 and Member of the Supervisory Board of Gaziantep Regional Union of Turkish Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri
.
It was held with the participation of Turkish Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri Gaziantep Re-gional Union Manager Mehmet AKSOY, Regional Deputy Managers Raif ATAYIK, H. Le-vent USLU, Marketing Chief Mustafa Metin DOĞAN and other Regional officials, Adıya-man Province Kooperatif Managers, Our Company's Agricultural Engineer Faruk ÇELİK and many Kooperatif partner farmers. On the field day, the Lord barley variety was harvested.
As a result of the harvest, our Lord barley variety yielded an average yield of 550 kg/da, around the regional average. In the measurements made, it was stated by the producers that the variety was superior in quality to other 6-row barley varieties cul-tivated in the region due to its light color and high hectoliter volume.
Although early varieties are grown locally in the region where production is carried out, the fact that our Lord barley variety is a late variety is seen as a negative situa-tion in the conditions of the region, but due to its superior quality characteristics such as high hectolitre weight and white grain color, its price in crop sales will be higher than other varieties. For this reason, it is thought to be preferred by farmers.

Our 6-row Lord barley variety, registered on behalf of our Company by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock in 2011; As a result of the registration trials carried out in the provinces of Edirne, Lüleburgaz, Tekirdağ and Kırklareli in the Thrace Re-gion, the average yield is 646.1 Kg/da and the yield potential is up to 930 Kg/da. The grain color of our variety is white, the weight of 1,000 grains is 26.6-38.8 grams, and the weight per hectoliter (Kg/hl) is 62.6-70.2 Kg.
Certified seeds of our Lord barley variety prepared in Tekirdağ and Çorum facilities were sold to Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri in the provinces of Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli, Çanakkale, European side Istanbul and Sakarya until 2011, and since 2012, in addi-tion to these provinces, Amasya, Çorum, Bolu, Düzce, Kocaeli. Sales have also started to Tarım KRedi Kooperatifleri in the provinces of Bursa and Bursa.
Due to the increasing demand from farmers for our varieties, our Company is con-stantly increasing the production amount.
