With our company's R&D activities in the barley type, two more varieties have been added to the registered LORD, GAZDA and OLIVER varieties, which are well known to many of our farmers. Our MAXİM and BRAVO two-row feed barley varieties were reg-istered on 04.04.2017 by the Seed Registration and Certification Central Directorate of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, as a result of the evaluation of the two-year results of the Central Anatolia Region Dry Barley registration trials.
MAXİM (Two Row Barley Variety)
It is winter-hardy, two-row, short-growing, resistant to lodging and has an early ear-ing period. In attempts to measure agricultural values, it exceeded the standard varie-ty yield average by 13.6% with an average yield of 490.6 kg/da. It is recommended for our Inner and Transition Regions.
Quality values: hectolitre weight varies between 59.1-72.1 kg/hl, thousand grain weight 31.4-44.8 g, protein content 10.0-18.2%, 85.9% above 2.5+2.8 mm sieve, 2.2% below sieve.
BRAVO (Two Row Barley Variety)
It is winter-winter, two-row, medium height and has an early earing period. In at-tempts to measure agricultural values, it exceeded the standard varieties' yield aver-age by 17.1%, with an average yield of 505.8 kg/da. It is recommended for our Inner and Transition Regions.
Quality values: hectolitre weight varies between 61.5-72.3 kg/hl, thousand grain weight 31.6-40.0 g, protein rate 10.1-18.3%, 76.8% above the 2.5+2.8 mm sieve, 3.3% below the sieve.
